I played the Lakes 9 and Foothills 9 from the blue tees, a couple of dumb doubles aside I hit the ball pretty well. The greens were tough to get a handle on, very undulating and not as fast as I am used to. Overall a challenging course but not very fun; not one I am going to be interested in playing again with all the other options in the area.
Some pretty holes, such as the short par 3 14th and long par 5 17th (both on the Foothills Course). The par 5 3rd hole on Foothills is just dumb. And very un-friendly to the walking golfer.
Notes:
- Hole 6 favor the left side; green straight away but down the hill
- Par 5 13th keep the drive on left side. And you can bail over the green it is relatively safe
- Hole 15 for the love of god don’t be short of this green
- 16, there is a false front, you have a good 20 yards between top of bunker and green
